wolven7: (Emotion-Intensified)

For my 19th birthday, someone bought me a copy of Neil Gaiman's American Gods, on the day of its release. I Love that book. There were underlined passages, and it was read, many times; once to someone, on a drive to and from Nashville. I wrote down quotes, on Post-It notes, and i stuck them to surfaces, around down town Atlanta, where they remainded for days at a time. I lent the book to people, and, due to various circumstances, i haven't been able to get it back.

Doesn't matter, anymore. Sentimental value aside, it's ok, now. Well, it was ok, a while ago, but, now, today, i got my Christmas present, and everything's awesome. The signed, author's prefered edition of American Gods, with about 40 new pages of material, originally left out... And i am extraordinarily happy. Because i love books, and especially special books.

And All Books Are Special.

Reviewed it in one of the final issues of Kinships. It was alright, but I could see the Pratchett influence.

LOL! Uhm... That's like saying, that, in reading my stuff, you can see the [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel influence.

They were roommates in college, and have known each other for over thirty years... It's gonna be there. :)

Beer batters, beer ic cream. It was the episode where he first talked about the Guinness ice cream, i had at my party, two years ago. The episode where he first mad it. You can cook beer into lots of things. Brines, for chickens, and other poultries, batter for shrimp, fish, chicken. Bread. That kind of thing. Very Tasty, most of the time.
