wolven7: (The Very Devil)
I don't know if I'm going to say this right, and there are possibly a lot of people out there who are going to say "duh," at this, and you know what? To hell with you, if you do.

Posit that you believe in re-incarnation. Even if you don't, let's pretend you do. Let's also pretend you believe in multiversal theory.

Everywhere in every possible universe there is a something that resonates more to you than to anything else, the multiverse being infinite, infinity then being a necessity. We've talked about this. That's not the hard part.

Every life you live, you are You. You are a permutation of yout "soul's" components that equals out to You. Right now, you are who you are. But-- and here's the fun-- if you were to have been Genghis Khan, previously, then not only are there infinite other yous that have also been G.K. but there are infinite other everyone's that have been. You, and everyone else in the entire multiverse, have some common resonant signature. All things being equal, there are infinite permutations in which you resonate more with anyone else, than you do with your selves.

Are you picking up what I'm putting down?

When you re-incarnate, your vibrational signature is always you. The energy pattern simply fluctuates a bit, and re-focuses, yes? In order that it do this, it has to recombine, and recalibrate. When it recalibrates it retains the dominant signature that screams You, as the base wave on which the whole thing is built, but the emergent patterns are now resonant with other people, as well. Whatever it is that You are (and there are infinite Yous infinite everyones, infinite individuals with infinite permutations), it has the ability to, from the starting state, mimic and match frequency, to some degree, with anything or anyone else, anywhere in the multiverse.

Now direct that, aim it, and adjust your sets. You control the horizontal, and the vertical.

These thoughts sparked by reading InterWorld, which showed up today, and just shatter-refracted my brain, a little bit... Okay a Lot bit...

Do you love me? Do you want to see me happy? No? Okay, how about this: Do you want the world to remain better and full of wonder, the recognition of the importance of balance and chaos, mercy, justice, awe, and the like?

Then read InterWorld, and give it to children.

A story about a boy who learns that, with the power of his will, he can travel through alternate realities, and that there are as many versions of himself as there are planes of existence. They strive to keep the forces of magic and technology in the kind of balance that makes most universes run without trying to overrun their neighbours.

Ages 10+, available wherever fine books are sold, or some such. Seriously, read it.

Thank you.

'Exams on InterWorld would make a Mensa chapter gulp with disbelief. It would have smoke coming out of the ears of our best brain trusts. How do you answer a question like: "Is the probability factor of a time-reversed world solipsistic or phenomenological?" Or: "Describe six uses for the anti-element pandemonium." Or how about: "Explicate the gnosis available from Qlippothic Beings of the Seventh Order."'

Good night.
