Lessons of a catalytic convertor.
Feb. 5th, 2005 03:19 pmWarren Zevon - [Johnny Strikes up the Band]--- Tried to catalyse certain actions and agencies, and they... Happened too fast. Went two or three steps too far ahead, because i focused on the end result, and not the process. Thusly, rather than things happening in a naturally accelerated fashion, running smoothly, and clicking into flow, things... Didn't.
English Beat - [Mirror In The Bathroom]--- I know this lesson, already. Obviously i don't understand it, or i wouldn't keep doing it, but i nkow it. When i intentonally work at building certain relationships, foundations don't get built. But when they happen, as a result of their naturall tendencies, as a result of my having been there, things run much more smoothly. I'm more suited for helping people be more naturally inclined to listening to themselves, not taking them by the hand and throwing them over the threshold. When I do that, there is awkwardness, and resistence. When i help them see why going inside is what they really want to do, if they really want to do it, everyone's happy.
Deep Blue Something - [Breakfast at Tiffany's]--- Most of the time.
I have about 100 pages of reading obtuse religious theory, and note-taking to do, for which i'm breaking plans with a friend i've not seen, in a while. So i'm goig to go do that, now. I'll talk to you all later.
