wolven7: (Emotion-Intensified)
Oingo Boingo - [Glory Be]--- Realised something, the other night, before bed, and that was that there are people i meet, in my life. Sometimes i meet them through people i know, sometimes, through own devices, and we findout that we "would have met anyway," which is true, except that we met then, so what "would have happened" is nil. We draw certian people to us, at certain times, i've always believed. Sometimes we're drawn to them, or whatever, but the thing is, we find people that we can either help, or who can help us. We seek them out, and they seek us out. It's like a light tugging, toward certain courses of action.

A lot of the people i know, have people already in common with me, when i meet them, and that twitches at me. (Dave Matthews - [Gravedigger]). Not because i "would have met them," but because it's a resonance, and even a pleasant resonance, that deep (and i'm by no means saying that it's always pleasant), disturbs. It rearranges something, deep inside, and your mutual ring causes a shift in perspective, and you notice that there is clicking, and interlocking, and yes, you've set yourself along a certain path, and, if you're lucky, every action, day, and Newish Person is a step along that path. Like i said, the twitch is from the resonnance, which is not necessarily bad...

Unfortunately, if we hold to this, believe in it-- thereby giving it power over us and our actions-- then we have to be very careful of our thoughts, wants, desires, conscious and un-. (Poe - [Hello]). Because we will call that, as well. This is what i mean by Chasing Echoes. We long for something (someone), and we send our reflection of that note, out into the world, and we watch as something similar bounces back toward us. We are surrounded by pale comparrisons, of t he sound we seek; pale only in the sense that they aren't That Sound. They have their own strengths, and weaknesses, yes, but to reach that, we must pass the echo, the reflecting glare, and we must search to what they have to offer, or receive, as individuals. Because every echo has a difference in modulation that can be explored, and used to understand where it came from. We can know them for who they are.

I'm tired of chasing the echoes of what (who) i want; i'm tired of looking at these people i've unwttingly called, and gathered, knowing that their friendship is, at first, based on a need they can't fill. (MC Chris - [The Hammer (Skit)]). It's not many people, that make up this group... but it's too many, beause it's not fair to them, and it's not fair to me. When we focus on the echoes, we miss several sounds...

VNV Nation - [Darkangel (Apocalyptic Mix by Das Ich)]--- So... yeah. This came lots of places, from a few others.

I'm really fucking tired of making up for what's missing... so i'm going to go about gathering it all together, or most of it. People, things, places. Ideals and ideologies. At least that's what John said, in the revel.

If we meet newish people, or new people, or people who aren't new at all... We meet them. The interplayings of webs and circles are not as important as the reasons why. Things to learn. So on. So forth. Yeah. (Loreena McKennitt - [Dante's Prayer]). Things from my head. Don't know if you feel the same. If you do, great, if not, great. Later.

Divinity

Portishead - Seven Months--- When i consider what it means to me to divine something, to be divine, what divinity is, to me, i'm struck by... well, the things themselves. Not only in my personal meanings, but in the standard meanings, from which they draw, there is an interplay of definition. The divine, meaning a "Higher power," or source from which things are drawn. Well spirng, hence "Divining Rod." Then there is to divine, to understand options, from a hidden source. (Portishead - Roads (Live)). To draw from said spring, or to find it, in the first place. These things are standard, coming from simple pratices of finding good fresh water, where it was important to do so.

I understand divinity as, yes, a Source, but also as something in the base nature of every thing and nothing. Infinity, through windows, again. Therefore, with this understanding of divinity, you are, when you divine something, only calling on yourself, and telling yourself something that you already know. Now, many people will say, "well, yes, it's simply wrapping it up in a manner that people can see, from outside, and accept, but they already knew what it was telling them." That's fine, however people generally mean this in the, "it was already in the self-consciousness, of the person asking the question" way. I want to amend that to say that it's what's in the Infinite consciousness of what every person is, at their core. Every thing is divine.

Portishead - Over--- You place bits of yourself in different places, to provide a perspective, for your view, so that you may act, in the world, and ask questions of who and what you are, and motivations, etc. You create a self that you may "Find yourself." Then, you work back toward that infinity, from the vantage point, retaining that, as an individual, because without the You That Is, infinity is not. So you ask yourself questions, in this way, and that works out well, for the most part, because, often, you receive answers.

Portishead - Humming (Live)--- There are, of course, asking "Other Sources," but, in a way, you're still using part of you, that matches there, to get to that point. You use your own voice, or fingers, or, more to the point, mind, to use the telephone, and the same principle applies. You're already connected, you simply need to apprehend and-- in a non-poorly connotative way-- exploit that connection.

That's, of course, how i feel on the subject. Those of you who divine things, one way or another (tarot, runes, dowsing, winamp, I Ching, other coins, whatever), how do you perceive and conceive of what you do? Or do you?

I'm going to go watch television, now.

Later

As i keep trying to tell myself, sometimes you simply have to learn to let people go.

Not easy. At All.
