Pizzicato Five - [Baby Love Child]--- Another set of essences and lessons in yielding. Giving up something to the nature of everything, and attaining harmony and union, that way. Meh.

The thing, yesterday, with the Responsibility and Choice and Transcendence was all because i hold those important. They aren't the only things, of course, at least not to me, but they're important. (Hellsing - [Divine Act of Satan]). The ability to move past that which would hold you back, to Chose your path and your meanings, in life, and the wherewithal to take responsibility for that which you've chosen. Being able to transcend that responsibility, if necessary, chosing to do so... Etcetera. I love braided thought currents, like that.

I've never read Albert Camus. I don't know his theories, or his thoughts, and i don't know title one of anything he ever wrote. My highschool principal, Lorraine Wilson, loved Camus. (Ella Fitzgerald - [I Get a Kick Out of You]). He was her favourite philosopher. I've always wanted to read some, and find out why, but i never have. Hm.

There is a reason that, even for Pluralists, and Perennialists, every religious tradition or philosophical set approaches the All from a set angle. Less stringent Pluralists, anyway, agree with the Perennialists, saying that people have to be presented a path to the Ultimate, from a perspective they'll understand. (LUXT - [Mary Megaladon]). More strict Pluralists, however, say that they're all Trying to see the same thing, but that only one of those views is the right answer. I cant remember the name for that, right now, so hold on a second. (Nellie McKay - [I Wanna Get Married]). Dogmatism. That's the one. Coming in the parts of Exclusivism and Inclusivism; Exclusivism holding that All Other Faiths, though pointing at the All, are wrong. Because they aren't Yours. Inclusivism says that, yes, you're Wrong, but you won't be damned for it, because you still get the basic meaning of the whole thing. (Nellie McKay - [Suitcase Song]). Read the works of John Hick, for more on that. The point of this little tangent is to say that, yeah, perspectives on it are all well and good, because it's hard to even think about, let alone grasp or truly comprehend Everything, but there comes that point when one needs to realise that the Perspective from which they approached the All is Not the All. Except that it is.

Smashing Pumpkins - [Eye]--- Everything being everything, and all. I've always wanted to understand all of the perspectives, as much as the totallity at their centre. And/Or their circumference, if those are going to be said to be different things. Where things lead, and where they come from, and where they are, would have to all be the same place, if you truly believe in a thing called infinity. Being sectioned doesn't negate the fact that it's Whole. Gears and Watches, as matters of points of view, and the goal being able to see the gears and the watch, total, at the same time. That kind of thing. Two people or a vase, old woman or young woman? Transparent cube top, or bottom? Yep.

Hum - [Ms. Lazarus]--- Things thought about... I need a library card, and a job. I don't have nearly enough books.

Later.

{You could be outvoted today, WOLVEN. You and your family members might be trying to make a decision about something. Maybe you are planning a trip or a vacation. You might want to do one thing, and your spouse and kids might want to do something else. If you can't come to an agreement, don't be afraid to give in. You'll still have fun doing what they want, so you're not really losing!

LUXT - [Cease]--- Interesting, on that. Speaking of which, time for more medicines.}

Miles Davis - [Take Five]--- By the way, in the movie Pleasantville, am i the only one disturbed by the fact that they Never address the fact that the daughter Stayed in the Television? She stays there, he goes home, the mother never says anything about it. Really, any explanation, at all, will do.

Nellie McKay - [Work Song]--- Tell me she doesn't Exist, outside of tv, anymore. Tell me that Pleasantville now Exists, in the Real World. Shit, tell me that the mother did ask, but he said "She stayed in the TV, Mom," and she was like "What?" And he said "Yeah, see, we got transported into the tv, and we were In Pleasantville, and we changed things, and she stayed there to go to college," and then she'd be all horrified, like "Oh my fucking god, you killed your sister and buried her in the woods," and then you'd see him in the mental institution. Just Explain it. Damn.

My only point is that, yeah, everything else is all neat and tidy, and everyone is pleased and there's that Unfinished quality to the whole thing, but there's something about the Question of "Wait, you're here, but where's your sister?" that just kind of Bugs.

And, yes, i'm analysing and picking at a piece of fiction, but i don't think that this is something that falls in the realm of suspension of disbelief. I think there could have even just been a "David, where's your sister?" and he'd have said, "Well, mom, that's a long story," and fade to the rest of the end sequence. (Nellie McKay - [Toto Dies]). Nothing lost. From now on, that's how it ended, in my mind.

Heheheh. Yeah.

Dreams last night were of Nazi concentration camps for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as run by Shredder. The camps had the layout of one of the enemy compounds from Tenchu: Wrath of Heaven, only more enclosed, tighter corridors, and it was also a Wal-Mart. There were thousands of Turtles, and the camp was by the beach. Ever once in a while, there'd be a breakout attempt, and there'd be a battle, with Shredder, on the beach. He would subdue the attempt, and anyone not in one of the Safe Areas, when the uprising was quelled, was severely punished. During the last one, me, a very scared Michaelangelo, and another young, very weak-looking turtle, were hiding in what had always been the safe area. Two large Enforcer Turtles came around the corner, and told us that we were in the wrong place, that the safe area had been moved to the movie theater. We followed them, there, and the movie theater was also a very small laundry room, and Shredder was there, and he put out hands inthe standart hand-shackles, as soon as we were lead in. We were all surprised, and scared. Shredder said something about us all working together, and it boiled down to the fact that either i could go out, and spend the night with the Watch Dog, or he'd kill the young, weak turtle, right there. April was there, and upset about the whole thing. I simply sighed, and was exasperated that Shredder even thought i wouldn't go out there. I knew i'd have to snap the watch dog's neck, and i was sad about that. That's about where i woke up.

Prior to that part of the dream, there was something about me, [livejournal.com profile] comorbid, and [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel hanging out with some girl who wanted to be more to me than simply a friend, and i kept telling her no, trying to explain that i wasn't interested, in her. It got to a place where we were in an apartment complext, on a hill, overlooking the highway, with a Waffle House, across the street from the parking lot, and it was nearing dawn, but in a way that it would Always be Nearing dawn. And we all said to her, "Well, do you want to go upstairs to your place, and we'll see you later? Or we could all go to Waffle House, and hang out, some more." That's about when the dream switched.

I was running through Wal-Mart, looking for birthday presents, for some of my younger cousins, on my dad's side. Looking at things like Transformers, and G.I. Joes, and being annoyed at what had become of the things i loved, when i was a kid. Still, i had a time limit, and i was trying to get through all of it. That's when it went to the Concentration Camp part.

Very strange things, there.

Still sickish, still trying to make that better, if at all possible, before Wednesday. We'll see... I hate flying, while sick. It always makes it worse.

It was... interesting. Definately could have had more showings of Jews who felt it was wrong to crucify the poor bastard. The thief who wanted him dead got an... interesting punishment, out of it. I liked the portrayal of Satan. A lot. Yeah, i'd recommend it.

Going to head out. Later.
