The representations of Celebrity, fame, and wealth, in popular culture, make me physically ill.

This little bit of petty outrage brought to you by my happening upon VH-1's "The Fabulous Life Of. . ."

I'm going to go watch the X-Files, and try not to vomit.

Dreams of Many things Norse. Of hearing things from Odin, and being taught things, and from Loki, whose name holder, in a cat, appears to have been wanting to tell me something. Some other parts of dreams, about a girl being genetically enginered, by Gillian Anderson/Dana Scully/ someone Else. One person was all of these. Dreams of talking, somewhere, in there, to Douglas R Hofstadter, and Professor David Webberman. My dreams felt distinctly academic. And i don't remember them all. That's going to bug me.

In other news, read this:

It's awesome. Not simply the spam thing (though that is pretty cool, by which i mean funny), but the articles, about what they did, with Child's Play, and Children's Hospital. Because if you hadn't heard about it, you should.

I got shit to do t'day. So i'm off to do it.

I spent most of today, reading, writing, and translating the names of Norse Gods, breaking them down into the meanings of each Rune. The amazing amount of discomfort felt, upon waking, due the the Norse Overload, in the dreams, subsided, a bit, and that was welcome.

I also went to campus, today, and wandered around, somewhat aimlessly. Got the book, from [livejournal.com profile] raoin, for my British Literature class, and i hung out with a bunch of people. I wouldn't have gotten to see them, had i not gone downtown, today, so that was nice. Saw Capiz, and that was interesting. Really enjoyed hanging out with everyone, today. I even got a ride home, for my troubles. :) Was pretty awesome, over all.

Got home, did my Brit-Lit Reading. Arthurian Legends. Sweeeet. Two of which draw heavily from the Greek and the Norse Germanic. *Twitch.* I got to read the poem "Lanval," which i had never read, before. I liked it, qwuite a lot. This is going to be a year. Unless we all die in firey death from above, and it isn't. In which case, *shrug* Love you guys, anyway.
