Don't only concern yourself with the big picture; you have to know the intricate details.
You mustn't study the components too deeply; understand that and how they all interconnect, even if that connection is only nothing.
You cannot concern yourself, too deeply, with working the whole, and the attaining of ends.
Tool - [Eon Blue Apocalypse]--- Remember that there is the picture, now, and that there was not a picture before you understood it. There were lines, and smears of colour-- forces directing, in a way.
Mozart - [Seranade in D major ("Srenata notturna"), K. 239 - I. Marcia. Maestro]--- There will come a time when the picture is not as you see it, now. It will be different, unique, whole and of itself. It will be the picture you make it, if you choose, or the picture that you allow to be made for you, if you don't. You may look at the structure, one day, and find yourself astonished at the difference, pleased with the course, discontent, malcontent. Whatever. It is your picture, your life, your goal.
Understand that you cannot always understand. The things you want are not always within your reach. Not i n your current configfuration.
Change your configuration.
Change the configuration. Make it new, different. See it in a way you've never seen anything,a dn embrace it as whole. It can and will be yours.
The act of bringing a fire together, from it's component parts, requires knowledge of the forces of friction, air-flow, excitation of atoms, and sustained combustion. These are not deep knowledges; knowing a very little of any of them will get you started.
Android Lust - [Another Void]--- Sustaining the flame, moving it to valuable works, giving it a purpose, other than its mere existence (a dangerous, damaging, and liberating state) requires craft. Skill, control, ebb and flow. Artistry, and a sense of purpose, without attachment to that purpose. When that is the thing for which you strive, you're walking on the trickiest terrain of all.
