Somehow, now that John Spencer's dead, this almost feels more right, and season six was a bit of a shark-jump. Too much "Dun-dun DUN!" style.
Anywho, it's over. And I think it's for the best...
Meh

Date: 2006-01-23 02:24 pm (UTC)I remember talking to a co-worker about it's ending back in 2004 and we were wondering what would happen when Bartlett left office. Would they just cancel the show since it was about his presidency, or would they do the unthinkable and actually make the series about the west wing in general and try to film it with a new cast. We were both torn as to if it could work, but we both thought it would be a great experiemnt for televison: carry on a general plot/idea, but with new characters b/c the main character is actually the setting.
Oh, well. Guess we will never know. Although, I do have a vague memory that that was tried b4, but can't remember when. Even if it was, I am positive the writers were not as good as those on the West Wing.
