Tom Waits - [Please Wake Me Up]--- Dreams about giving a mobster a Valentine, something about CDs that I couldn't find anywhere but Best Buy, and the final part about a Quantum Leap where I was Sam, and we leaped into an alternate dimension, where white people weren't allowed to touch black people, and blacks could sue, and arrest the white. Whites were mostly homeless. I was there to spread equality. Also, I looked like me, and was still in Sam's head, and we saw people I knew from Highschool, who didn't recognise me, in this dimension. They said I looked like a skinny [Some Famous Person], and I picked one of them up, to show her, and that's when I found out about the craziness.

Last night, when my mother was driving me back from my picking her up at the airport, we saw an owl swoop down, into the median.Saw it swoop, then saw it staring at us. (Tom Waits - [More Than Rain]). It was a damned interesting thing to see.

For Christmas:

[livejournal.com profile] mech_angel got me [livejournal.com profile] greygirlbeast's To Charles Fort, With Love, Ray Kurzweil's Fantastic Voyage: Live Long Enough to Live Forever

Mother gave me a sketch book, and the West Wing season 4 DVD set.

Tom Waits - [Telephone Call From Istanbul]--- Grandfather gave me cash and a card.

My mother's sister and my cousin gave me cash and a card.

My sisters and nephew gave me a radio transmitter for CD or MP3, and a Barnes& Noble gift card.

My father gave me and [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel a ride to and from Philadelphia.

My father's sister gave me cash.

My grandmother gave me pajamas.

Pearl Jam - [Daughter]--- My great aunt and her two daughters all gave me checks.

[livejournal.com profile] momentai gave me a four pack of Flying Dog's Gonzo Imperial Porter {and an Awesome Autographed Ralph Stedman Print of Hunter S. Thompson.}

I have enjoyed every one of these gufts, except one (because I don't go past B&N that often), since receiving them.
Meeting [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel's family, and her meeting mine was the kind of embarassingly formative experience every serious relationship needs, and I we both feel the better for it, i do believe. This has been an awesome Christmas, all the way around .

Pearl Jam - [Rearviewmirror]--- I've tracked back through all of your entires, for the past few days (125 entries back on the friends page), so I'm fairly caught up with what's on with you. Will comment, as new entries arrive, and ellicit response.

Monday and yesterday, I bought myself three CDs (Suzanne Vega "Solitude Standing", Pearl Jam "Vs.", Tom Waits "Frank's Wild Years") and some comics (HellBlazer, NYC Mech, and Indigo Vertigo), the latter of which I was unable to find upon my last inspection of my local comic purveyor. Now, after my asking, they have it. (Suzanne Vega - [Solitude Standing]). Today's lesson? If you want something, just ask.

Or some shit like that.

I'm out.
