Madness - [John Jones]--- The True names of Demons, names used t retain 'control,' within situations of calling and suplication, are not as often written down, not as well known as the names and titles of angels. (LUXT - [Hunger]). Angelic names, even those of the fallen, are more often copied down than those of the "never-born." There are some names, and places to find them, yes, but they are far more difficult to find, and remember.

The idea of the "untamed dark" from which they spring is a concept which is less than, for example, "earth" because a different type of thought and belief is put toward it. The existential category, hree, is one of fear, revulsion, anti-hope, rather than a driving toward or a wish to bring about a certain state.

Jarboe - [To Forget (w/ Iva Davies)]--- There is no true understanding of the the multiplicity of concepts brought about, when we focus any thought toward something. There is a certain type of knowledge that we wish to have, a force with which we wish to align ourselves, that we may be the "good guys," even as we attribute the fields of death, plague, war, burning small children, and entropic drift to the very things we claim to have our best interests at their core. (MC Frontalot - [This Old Man]). Our angels are at least as frightening as our demons.

We create acceptable and unacceptable levels of fear and alienation, things we create as our best and worst qualities, while being something wholly Other, due to the nature of their contexts. Too much input, and we're somehow surprised, when they do something we don't understand. They are no longer wholly ours, when they can affect our lives, in that manner.

They are at least partially their own.

Yes, I'm alive. Time to get back to work.

It always surprises and amuses the Hell out of me when people go off about angels and demons and the like simply being facets of our own personalities and minds, personified...

And yes, you don't want to keep too much of a list of names and phone numbers of the assassins and drug dealers, even when the police can be just as brutal.

In that regard, it just reminds me of "Once Upon a Time in Mexico." Johnny Depp's Character, specifically, but the whole thing.

And they Are a part of our psyche, in the same way that anything else is. We have to recognize, internalise, and then [re-]externalise the whole thing, to get anything useful out of it.

But wholly ours? That's just hubris.
