The Art of Noise - [Close (To the Edit)]--- You know what's a beautiful sign that maybe I'm wrong, and that consciousness was a random genetic fluke, and that maybe we'll lose it in the next evolutionary shift? People thinking that learning from our actions, and moving forward from a new position of understanding counts as "Contradition" of previous positions. No, you stupid motherfucker, it's called Learning From Our Mistakes.

We don't need to go in somewhere with our minds made up as to how to handle the situation, all "unbending, rock-hard pillar of Justice!" (Razed In Black - [Blush]). We need to be able to assess situations, adapt, change, and move forward. This is what intelligence affords us. If we're going to name things such as military sectors, and civilian bureaus after that greatest, most potent of universal traits (hyperbole, i think), and then A) Not listen to them when they strive to give us accurate information, and B) put them in positions where they feel the need to lie about what they've found, or spin it toward their own cause, then what the fuck're we doing, people? What is the Use?

We take things that we've cultivated over centuries, millenia of life on this planet (i think we can all agree that it is some number of millenia, at least for another few thousand years, eh?), and we piss all over them. We just whip it right out, or squat right down, and let it all flow, don't we? We don't exercise our freedom of action, no. We want someone to work for us, to help us through, to let us get along with our little lives, watching "The Simple Life 8: Nichole Throws Up," or fucking "Fashion Extravaganza! The Shallowening." (LUXT - [Knock You Down]). We do not act upon the world around us, to effect the changes that could make us truly happy, because we're tired, or we don't know how, or it's too hard.

See Bitch whine. Whine, Bitch, whine.

There is a simple solution, here: Teach yourself. Search for the resources, arrange your priorities, and work toward what you truly want in this life. If you don't like the picture you see, out there, every day, and purport to care about it, then you do something to fucking change it. You make your life better. You have the hard part, yes: you have to start in the middle. There was no one there, from the day you were born looking you in the eye, and telling you what choice meant, what responsibility, freedom, and work meant, for your place in the world. If you had, I wouldn't be yelling at you, right now. You may have had a parent unit or set, within or without a greater familial structure which presented you with the values of hard work, and learning, but they obviously didn't do it enough.

Teach yourself. (LUXT - [User]). Take advantage of the resources at your disposal. And whatever you fucking do, realise that the most effective means of change will always be from the DNA upwards. From inside out. Your change has to be a Virus.

And another thing: Stupid People keep Breeding! You know why? 'Cause they're stupid! They don't think about the consequences of overpopulation, and the lack of resources which we will face if proper precautions are not taken. They are going to outnumber us. There will soon be too many stupid people, out there, for those of us who recognise the inherent dangers to counteract our own hubris and stupidity. We need to keep that in mind.

It is a universal right to procreate. That's what the meat wants. It's what it's always wanted: to reproduce and survive, through offspring. But the meat contains a lot of electricity, and the Electricity wants to fucking ground. (Pitchshifter - [Please Sir]). It wants to integrate and dissipate. It wants to continue to exist. The point i'm making, here, is that we need to find a way to survive that allows us to generate the wants of the meat as well as the electricity.

"That's it. That's all. That's all there is," for this afternoon.

Time to go write another 1,500 words, before going to see "Walk the Line," tonight.

Later.

Amen, brother.

If there was anything to add to that, I would... so here ya go. While I do agree that more and more stupid ass motherfuckers are breeding, it's not so much that they are stupid. Actually, alot of them are smart, and here's why. If I had the moral disposition to sit on my ass and collect a check that got ever increasingly larger with every child I shot out of my cock... I'de have 12 kids by now. It's how this Country's welfare system works. If you changed that system to reward those who actually only used it to get by and help them in the hard times, and punish those lifers who keep on having kids, slowing the process down of getting back on their feet... How many more stupid mother fuckers would be having babies? I personally know of several families that have been on welfare for as many generations as have been around since it was launched. http://www.cato.org/pubs/policy_report/cpr-18n6-1.html
Good link. A must read for anyone who feels like me about welfare. Get rid of it, deal with the violence till they all either die, or get a job. After that, let private buisnesses hack it out to whom they deem fit.
To sum up, stupid motherfuckers arn't that stupid 'cause they know how to manipulate the system, the system itself needs to go away, and fuck all of them. Either deal or die. I know this is cruel... My sister is on welfare on and off... but she needs to get her act together too.

Meh. It's not smart, though, because it seems easy. And then, of course, you can't back out of it. Those kids will be there, eighteen years or more.

I grew up on welfare, with my mom on foodstamps and the like, and for every ass pumping out kids so they can get a bigger check, there is at least one person who needs it. She worked her ass off to get us on our feet, to get me and my brother and sister into college, and for us all not to need the help anymore. Getting rid of it isn't the problem. Improving it, making it more than throwing money at a problem, teaching people how to work and be productive, is a more valid goal.

I fully agree. I think funding-help-things need to be amended so that the person on it is able to learn a skill and help themselves, and then will not need it anymore.

Well, it's said below, but I do think that the sink or swim method is only valid for those who abuse the system. Those who actually use it, to try and get beck on their feet, to give their families the best opportunities they can manage, should be helped to Increase their skill level, as long as they're willing to learn.

Reform the system. Pose it as a problem of learning, continuing education, and work, for a level of support higher than what they get now, towards better gainful employment, or no aid at all

what about the genuinely disabled either mentally or physically? i'm not necessarily talking about people who in all honesty have no quality of life and in a world of survival of the fittest would have no chance so why the fuck are they being kept alive anyway is one way of looking at it (discuss if you like - didn't say this is my opinion, just said its one way of looking at it), i am tlaking about people who are just mental enough to be unemployable (ie bipolar) or just phyysically disabled enough that nobody wants to employ them because of the company's medical insurance (ie back injuries)...
? well? that's welfare too...

I think they should be provided for. That's just me. But I sometimes qualify as unemployable because of mental status, so maybe I can't vote on this. I've never cashed in on it, though... I just read and take the pills til I'm good again. *shrugs* But, for sake of discussion, I argue that those who are restrained from earning a decent living because of physical or mental disabilities/disorders/handicaps/whatever-you-choose-to-call-it should be provided for. I also argue that I get too much enjoyment wasting space on wolven's pages.

Seems I may have been alittle misunderstood. Let me make an amendment. My earlier rant was aimed at the people that abuse the system, not use it. As in mech_angel pointed out, there are people that use the system for what it was intended for... and with that I agree. I'm not a total ass. Wolven, you speak of reform. That would be an understatement. Total reconstruction would be more fitting. I can see your point about teaching a saleable skill. Give a man a fish, and he can eat for a day... Teach him how to fish: You know the rest. That would be ideal, however (and I might be alittle jaded), I don't believe that ALOT of the populus would be able to function in a normal working environment even if taught a trade, or given an opertunity to do better. Yes there are alot of circumstances, but for the most part... they wouldn't /be/ on welfare if they had the willingness to be taught, or had the determination to change their surroundings. Note: THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO ALL. I propose this. If you have a child or two and your man/woman leaves you, then yeah... welfare is a good thing. If you make a new addition to the family while on it, CUT your earnings. Maybe that would help decrease the amount of babies made by the general welfare group. "Holy shit... I got /less/ this month." Oh yeah, I almost forgot about Job Corp. Isn't that a free institution where people can go and learn a trade? From what my sister said about it, she even got paid. Why not spruce that up instead of dumping more and more money into welfare checks? Ah well... I think I'm done with this. Fire at will.

Then they're not invited to Saratopia. I'm starting my own communist co-op ASAP. It may be violent for the first few years while we get everything sorted out, but it'll be great after that!

This is why I'm a history major. I'm hoping someday, someone will want to refer back to the past instead of just banging their head on the same wall over and over. Then they can ask us, and we can tell them, and we can all do it differently the next time. Maybe I'm being too simple and logical and optimistic. You chose a beautiful number, by the way. Can't wait to hear about the movie!

I also don't want children. Maybe adopt a teen when I'm older and can help when they think it's too late... Role model thing, once I'm an accomplished woman, ya know?

All the disciplines we have are needed, or we wouldn't have thought them up. We need them to answer questions we have, in certain ways.

The movie was awesome. Very well done.

Not deny, simply control, love. It's Your Machine; it's your vessel, part of you, not a separate thing to blame for drives and urges that You cannot ignore. The meat is subject to the electric, so you satiate it when it makes fucking sense.
