Intarwebs are still sketchy, at best.
Jul. 27th, 2005 11:07 pmThe new modem should be here, tomorrow. So that's something, right?
Tom Waits - [Rain Dogs]--- Tomorrow is my last day of class. My final class as an undergraduate. It's... still weird. I turn in my final paper, and that's it, save the commencement. Wow.
You all alive? Things well?
I'm a godfather. My sister asked me if i'd be the godfather to my new nephew, and I accepted...
My life is taking a strange turn, indeed, my internet friends. (Audioslave - [#1 Zero]). I'm going to be a Graduate Assistant, doing research, while getting my masters degree. I will be a Master Philosopher, in a few years, barring horrible cataclysm. I will have a written, performed, and published Thesis. Things have taken on that subtle tone, again, where they seem to be pointing me in a specific direction, but nothing is demanding my attention, so much. Simply noting that it's there. The universe is treating me like an adult. Which is nice, as that gets better results, from me, than screaming for my notice. I don't try to figure out Why so much... No, that's not it... I do, but it's not an urgent Need to know. It's the way of things, and i would, in the course of it, find out why.
Gorillaz - [Sound Check (Gravity)]--- I Will find out. It's not much of a question If, so much as How...
The reading of Lovecraft-inspired materials has, as i noted, earlier, done very strange things to my mind. It is, in fact, one of the factors that has seemed like a finger pointing at the moon. And I've finally realised that the finger is not the moon. The mechanisms by which these things reach me, the order in which i find them, are not the most important part, here. The important thing is what they are showing me.
"Principles and Parameters," by Meredith L. Patterson, and "Teeth," by Matt Cardin (my favourite, i think...): The former deals with a Doctoral Candidate instructor in Linguistics, coming upon the language of the Ancient Ones, and her reactions thereto. (Beck - [Beercan]). The latter... Deals with the combination of quantum physics, philosphy, and Religion, as Yog-Sothoth. The Gate and the Key, to Azathoth. The true and underlying Ground of Being.
The final line of the story I'll reprint here, as it doesn't give away any more than the title: "Show me your smile and I will show you your fate."
I love that...
Warren Zevon - [Something Bad Happened to a Clown]--- Well, the internet's died, again... Know that i started this at 10.20-something, Post Meridian, on July the 27th, planning to post it at 10.44pm, that same day.
We'll see how much divergence there is.
Later kids.
{11.26pm: Dreams have been strange, trouble recalling them fully... We'll see how that works out.}

Date: 2005-07-28 03:20 am (UTC)And all the fragments have yet to point me anywhere. They're just there, not quite making a pattern yet, though some of it's showing. Seems like you've always had a direction, a pattern, which I've always been slightly envious of and always amazed by.
You can do this. ^_^

They will point, if you find the thread, beneath them. More bootstrapping, really, in that they point somewhere, if you let/make them point somewhere...
Thank you, again, love...
