Now that's what I miss. {R. Thomassy Goodness}

Went to R Thomas, tonight, directly after work, as mr_hinzelmann and I had the same thought, at different times of the day (we do that a lot): If we go earlier, then the people who know us, the people we love, will be there. Not only did this work out to be true, but we got a surprise, out of the deal. Rhyan was back.

Rhyan left to go to Oregon, a few months ago, and she has been back, for a week, now. We had lots of good conversation, tonight, and things are moving well forward, in many respects.

Related a bit of Pratchett, into the deal, too, for something that was Very important, as it was happening, though i don't know why. While I was telling it, i got that nervous, fast talking, excited feeling... It was the story of Rincewind, his evasion of Death, and the Imbedding of the Eight Spell, into his mind, and how that forced him to have to use sheer will power to open a lock.

We also talked about the ramifications of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle. Beautiful things.

I was strangely enough thinking of the HUP not too long ago in regards to a certian 26 toed cat in my life. Some days, I will be sitting with my back to the rest of the room, and think i see, out of the corner of my eye, a tail or paw, or some other feline trace... but when I turn to look, there is no cat.

Having only observed a trace of a cat, I must ask my self can I really be sure there was ever a cat there at all. And, having only guessed at the position of the cat at that current time t, can I ever again be certian where exactly that cat is, at any future time t, even when I'm directly observing him?

This became very puzzling when one night i was asleep, and felt a cat jump on the bed, only to realize that I was at my apartment, and not where the cat was.
