wolven7The Dresden Dolls - [The Time Has Come (Live)]--- Now, perhaps it's that my brain is in Theory mode, from the past semester, or maybe it's just There, but the new Nine Inch Nails album has.. some interesting symbolic choices. Things to ponder, before you say "Man, he's Changed! This isn't the NIN, I've grown to love!":
Alice In Chains - [Get Born Again]--- 1) The deconstruction of Trent's Picture, on the inside of the album. Threads breaking down, and coming to pieces.
2) The conversion of all "N"s in "Nine Inch Nails" to facing backwards, while all track title N's remain frontwards.
3) The fact that, on many tracks, he sounds as if he's aping Himself.
Together, these three things paint the picture that Trent is sick of his own shit... Again... But This time, he's being Deonstructionist about it.
Deconstructing his own deconstruction: How very Post Modern.
Patsy Cline - [Why Can't He Be You]--- In other news, i had a long night of dreming about zombies, in a Dynasty Warriors kind of format. There were Ninja Zombies, which made me raise the question: "Zombie Ninja?! Zombies aren't co-ordinated enough to be Ninja!" I was confused. raoin's and soem other people's, i think. Kim was there. There was something about an orgy...
Strange.
Productive day. Got Change of Graduation Date form in, got marta cards, saw Dr Herman, and talked to him, for a bit, as he was on his way out of town. Had lunch with people, and talked a lot. Not in that order. It was a good day. Talked to my dad, and family. They were rather understanding.
Watching the West Wing, now. Gotta go send an email.
