I either missed the bus that came early, or it never showed. I got to class, in time to have some interesting discussion, and bet my paper. Got a B+. I am honestly surprised. I felt it was rather unfocused, and kind of sloppy, on my part... Hm. I'll have to read his notes.

Front Line Assembly - [Plasticity]--- Dreams of hanging out in a combination of R Thomas, and Apres Diem, with Jordan Smith, [livejournal.com profile] mendori, and [livejournal.com profile] tribeofone. It was strange, and the conversation went weird places, about our groups of people, and what needs to happen, in said.

Weird half-sleep visions, during the Animation Show (which wasn't that great, by the way), of books, hills, a future crucifiction more important than any other (literal crux and metaphorical). Bits and pieces, all day.

VALIS has started to... talk to me... It has touched upon Mircea Eliade's Myth and Religion, The Daedelus story, using the words "There is no route out of the maze. The maze shifts as you move tthrough it, because it is alive." No that's not a new thought, but the conjunction of it, with what else is going on in my life. That and the fact that Horselover Fat was just given a copy of the Tao Te Ching. (C-Tec - [Let Your Body Die]). And has been quoting/thinking in Heraclitus, and Parmenadies. Right now it's talking about hyperspace, and fouth-dimensional physics.

It's hitting everything i've been doing, in the past few months, and tying it together... And conisdering the blurb, on the front, from the Washington Post Book World, and the nature of the story, my drawing connections, here, or seeing them, is immediately called into question. "It is.. about madness, pain, deception, death, obsessive delusory states of mind, cruelty, solitude, imprisonment, and it is a joy to read."

Auf der Maur - [Beast of Honor]--- Damn you, Philip K. Dick. Damn your dead hide...

Remember All Tomorrow's Parties? Remember the Taoist Assassin? I often wondered what happened, in his life, to get him there. And if/when Gibson read P.K. Dick.

Because VALIS stands for Vast Active Living Intelligence System.

I'm out, kids... time to go hurt my brainmeants.
