It was the apocalypse and many of us were holed up, riding it out in a combination of one of my old apartments, [livejournal.com profile] raoin's recently former apartment. I was cooking dinner for everyone, with all of the food stores, and some of them had the name "Fitch" on them, because they belonged to [livejournal.com profile] thenowhere. Many people were getting upset about their foods, not wanting to share, but we worked it out, and made food, so that we could all live, for a while.

Started Philip K Dick's VALIS, today. Yes, that does mean that i am reading three books, right now. So? The book kicks all kinds of ass... Inside my head, kinds of ass.

I'm out.

Hee. Nothing wrong with reading three books. It's when you get it up to attempting six or seven that you get brain-hurty and must tell yourself to try one or two at a time. ;)

actually i had been comtemplating how well that former apartment would work for apocalyptic purposes.

relatively high up - no fear of zombies...

excellent disposal options - over deck or over stairs

knock out walls to add space or close in corners to add defense

fucking conrete, and i wouldnt be suprised if there was lead paint.

no to mention easily defensable, although not as much so as some buildings i've worked with...

yeah. i think about this alot. especially when i ride marta. think about it: high up, get two trains to park on deck, good walls, electricity, gather water, roofed, transport.... see them coming for miles.
