It's not that complicated, or it wasn't until wolven here got involved. All I wanted was a date whose company I'd enjoy, who would enjoy dancing and wearing an elegant dress and who would disturb the some of the straight-laced law students a little.

So long as it's a polite and sincere request, and not obnoxious, the waitress will probably be flattered, even if she says no. And since that's the case, no harm done, right? So ask away.
