The Dresden Dolls - Christopher Lydon--- Dark and light are visual metaphors, for a species that has to "See" everything it does. Conceptual Analysis of Dark and Light-- as entities, perspectives, intentionalities, whatever-- shows that They are Points of View. Again, a visual metaphor, but it's hardwired. I'm sorry. Anyway, they are modes from which things can operate, and an easy way to dilentiate One General Set of preferences, from Another.

Dark and Light are the first two things to be named in almost every cosmology. That or "Stuff and Not Stuff." (The Dresden Dolls - Glass Slipper). Other way round, really, but you know what i mean. There are many people, in the camps of "Darkness," who are genuinely nice and good. There are many things and people who would be called "light," but whom you wouldn't want to meet in a dark culvert, if you catch my meaning. But, because of their over-arching leanings, the ways they are made, and their preferences and choices, in existance, they are labelled.

We are not made only of one thing, ever. We have our intrinsic nature, and then the things we learn affect that. Can utterly alter that. Nature and Nurture are always entertwined, so don't think anything manifest is ever purely anything.
