Well. Shit.
Sep. 29th, 2004 12:15 amMoving was painful. Got my heavy-assed dreser, upstairs. Seth helped, with that. The downstairs is done, except for food things, and the TV. Tomorrow is the bedrooms.
That's not really what the title's about though. I found out, today that an acquaintence-verging-on-friend of mine, died this past Sunday, in one of the most bizare ways imaginable. She was swimming, in Florida, in a lake, before dawn, and she drowned, after an alligator bit off her arm, at the elbow... I... don't really know what to say, about that. I didn't know her, that well, but i still knew her. Knew her well enough to talk to her on a daily basis. And she had her annoying points, but she was still an interesting and basically nice person. As far as i know, she didn't kick puppies, or burn small children, in her spare time. So it's strange.
Today has been very surreal, that way. Two songs played, pointing me at House of Leaves. One was "Darkness," by Peter Gabriel, in Elizabeth's car, and the other was "Hey Pretty," by POE, in the fucking Kroger, after they played what sounded like (and i've just found out WAS) a Sixpence None the Richer cover of "Don't Dream, It's Over," and then "Motownphilly," by Boyz II Men. In the damned grocery store... Weird.
Anyway.. That's all i have to say. Off to think about today, and tomorrow.
