Power was out, for seven hours, yesterday, and the cable was out, for the past 36 hours.

I have nothing else to add, except this: There were two Panel Without a Purpose rooms. One was full of people too lazy to go outside and smoke, who filled the room with garbage and ashes.

The other was us{, and we borrowed the Mics, from the other room, with permission}. That is all.

Later

{Addendum: 12.30am: I've explained this, to those concerned, and hopefully things will work themselves out. That said, next year (if there Is a next year), everything gets put back, as we found it, or better. Doesn't matter if this is all a misunderstanding, and everyhting will work out. Better to keep ourselves above reproach, and within admiration and Awe. The End.}

Heh, so it reached all the way to your place? We had power outages here as well.

Also, I've heard much talk about this Panel Without a Purpose. What is it?

Yeah, it did. Didn't go to school, because of it.

The P.w/o.a.P. is where we find an open and empty panel room, and use it to help people stay awake, all night, so they don't get kicked out of the con, for sleeping in elevator lobbies, or whatever.

Seems to have gone sour, on us, this year. :\

Hope's also a friend's roomate, so when I explained things to her I think she understood. She knows the major damage wasn't us.

Good. Thank you, for that.

Things are as they are, and that's it. We've clarrified, and that's all we can do.

There's major pronoun poblems in that sentance.

I explained things to Hope's roommate, not Hope directly.

Good. Thanks for going over there.

Sorry about the stealing comment- I didn't know we had permission.

Well, a tech ops person was one of the people who helped us remove said microphones, to the Other Room. They were only transplanted, down the hall, and not, in fact, removed from the Con.

It's all good. Hopefully everything will work out.

The problem is,..,

They were not returned to the con, so yes, somewhere, somehow, they were removed from the con.

They didn't come back to Kennesaw for the scheduled Monday panels, and in the pack out, they didn't show up in general inventory. The mics were leased and will now have to be paid for.

So.. someone really should speak to the tech ops director (who posted on that thread) , as they are requesting information as to where the equipment went. I'm also sure they'd be interested in knowing which tech ops person authorized and helped with this.

As far as i can remember, from asking others, two Microphones were moved from Kennesaw, by our group, into Fairle. They were moved, thus totalling Four, possibly five, in Fairle. I don't know how many there were in Kennesaw, to begin with, so i don't know what happened to the others.

They were not removed from Fairle, by any of us, but, unfortunately, neither were they returned to Kennesaw.

I will ask around, for names, and further details, but that is all i know, at this time: When we left, at 8.30, everything was still in Fairle.

Hope- are you financially responsible if they don't show up? Or is it coming from con's budget?

The next Hurricane, Ivan, is looking out way. I'm sorta hoping that the first island it comes to kills it off. :/

Seven hours isn't that bad. Our power was out for 33 hours.

Yup, it started working about an hour before we left for Tybee.
