Tom Waits - [The Black Rider]--- Rick James is dead. (Venetian Snares - [Intense Demonic Attacks])). They say it's natural causes, so far, and that's good. The man was on his way to getting much better. He was sober, he had a sense of humour about what he had done, and been through, and he was starting to do good things for the community... He was turning into a respectable human being.

He laughed at, and respected the charicature of himself, on Chappelle's Show, and turned the seminal phrase, in that skit, into something positive, at the Heritage Awards.

He was Rick James, Bitch.

I love the fact that he didn't get all angry about Dave's skit of him. You've gotta love a person that can laugh at himself. I think he would have wanted it this way also, turning his life around, becoming sober and stuff before he died.
