The man was on his way to getting much better. He was sober, he had a sense of humour about what he had done, and been through, and he was starting to do good things for the community... He was turning into a respectable human being.

He laughed at, and respected the charicature of himself, on Chappelle's Show, and turned the seminal phrase, in that skit, into something positive, at the Heritage Awards.
