Nellie McKay - [Suitcase Song]--- Search specific, and deliniate, and you'll find me. I'm between the little bits that connect anything to anything else. You find me through songs, and pharses, specifics and ideals, but never by name. Never by name. I don't know how that relates.
If you know what i like you can know what i like. If you know something about me, you can learn something about me. The more you know, the more you can know, and it spirals inward, at you, and you don't have to like it, simply accept that that's the way it's going to be.
VNV Nation - [Further]--- Funny how i'll ask you to do something i haven't fully done, myself, isn't it? Because i think you're better than me, and i damn sure know i'm better than you, so i can tell you to do whatever the fuck i want, can't i? Fuck yeah i can... Fuck yeah.
It's because i looked, again. I dug through the layers, plain as day, and plied it apart, and picked up the bread crumbs, with ducks, and then there was shit everywhere. I knew there'd be shit, everywhere. So why did i look? Because i have to know. I have to know how i compare, what ways in which people are better than me, at stepping into the spotlight, at speaking up and out, and only cringe, a little, when the light gets in their eyes.
Two layers down, and you'll find me struggling, through the dirt toward the light, because that's exactly where i like it, and that's what happens when you want to be the pockets of air that keep you alive.
