On the way to class
Jul. 21st, 2004 12:21 amI saw a very large black and brown falcon, while waiting for my bus. Yep.
Was late to class, today, but still had a lot of interesting topics, like gun control, and the like, about which to talk.In NRM, we went over apocalyptic stuff, and i had to yell at the class as to why ushering in an age of "Unconditional Love and Light" is a crap idea, in this cause and effect universe, in which we've agreed to live, for now. The more you place pressure on one perceived end of the fulcrum (i.e. love, light, and fluffy bunnies), the greater the reaction from the other end (i.e. Hatred, darkness, and slithering things with spikes and teeth in.). This universe strives toward balance. All parts are equally important to that balance, and "Good" and "Evil" are matters of perspective, and preference. Which is not to say they are unimportant, by any means.
I was very close to flipping my shit, today. Too much fluffy, happy, all or nothing New-Agery, in conjunction with metaphysics, and not enough thinking about the presentation of things, and making judgments from personal experience and true discernment, as well as how it Felt. Simply going on what you wanted to believe was true. Which, i guess, serves it purpose. But it makes a lot of things a lot harder to understand and accept.
I'm out. Later.

Date: 2004-07-20 09:36 pm (UTC)Ok, moving on.
Alot of things are coming. Hell, Woodhouse may be right about this year. God, wouldnt that be a funny thing for all the people who tried to get him fired? But the irony is - it has nothing to do with what they all think it does.

As the saying goes,

Applied Theology is delicious.
So their reasoning was unsound. This only becomes a problem for you once you decide to make it so (which you have, and that's fine, but remember you chose to make it so).
