We finally got to talking about the Liberation theology (As applied to Nurturing goddess models)/eco-Feminism shite, today, in class. I said my pieces, and was stared at and nearly shouted down. But i made everyone in that room stop and think, before assuming that this way was the best way, and more of them were on my same mental track than i had believed would be. So fuck it.

The... rest of the day was ok. Sickish, for some of it.

Fuck. I like Things and non-things.

Later.

Could you lay it out?

What were your pieces, and why would people object, and so on?

Exactly what is said, there. Certain methods are decried as the machinations of a certain gender, while, at the same time, trying to say that no gender roles need exist, And trying to uphold the standards of the "Opposite" of the first "Gender set," while calling them universal.

Simply put? Masculine is Evil. Masculine-Enfored Gender-Roles are Evil. Let's react. Nurturing is Good, coddling is Good. Those are Universal, not "Feminine." Degredation, Violence and the destruction of the natural resources are all still "Masculine," though.

Certain typse of people object, because women and minorities have been oppressed, and, in their minds, this means that any philosophy esposed to uphold or "empower" them is good. Even if it's only the same thing as already WAS happening, in reverse.

It's the same story, and principles, only someone new controls the labels.
