KMFDM - [Juke Joint Jezebel]--- Today was a strangely synchronous day. All the uselessness and shit i was feeling last night was... re-arranged, by a few certain factors. First being, that i was reading the "Hellblazer: Original Sins" trade paper back, which contains the lines "You're on the shinning path and the sychronicities are winking all around you, like pennies from heaven. You just have to pocket them." This is also the story arc, in which John kicks his own ass, into gear, and makes himself stop feeling sorry for himself.

With those things in mind, understand what i mean, when i say "I talked to a United States Marine, today."

We talked about things from politics, to people respecting themselves and each other, and the StarWars program, and weapons systems re-fitting, for civilian use. (Bree Sharp - [Show Me]). And, i don't know how it happened, but he started talking about... Having a measure of control of one's own destiny. Having the ability, and will, and drive, to focus, and shape what we want, and need, in life. Making goals, and going after them. He says all of this to me, in that way of... you know when you talk to a stranger, and they start touching upon things, that you've been thinking? And you look at them, and you see a look in their eyes that says "Please don't mention it, i don't know exactly why i'm saying this, but it's what needs to be said"? That's what it was like.

Moxy Früvous - [Darlington Darling]---At the end of our conversation, i thanked him, and told him that, yesterday, i had been bemoaning a lack of understanding and real conversation, in my life, and that, today, he had helped fix that. He thanked me, and Dan, for helping him find some people with level heads, with whom to talk. It was.. very good. The day held good things.

I helped a man and his two year-old son find one of the scrolling adverts, in the mall, and then watched as the child stared and laughed, in utter amazement. (LUXT - [Kashmir]). I ate a healthy-ish lunch, and listened to music, and sold watches, and replaced batteries, and worked eight hours, that didn't feel like it....

The house now has a grill. It's also a stand-alone, outdoor fireplace. It is a CharCoal Grill. Damn it. Because i pretty much refuse to use anything else. There will be much cooking of the life meats of the dead, this Son's Day. Verily, hear me! And so on...

I'm off to think about things. Later...

I'm reminded of the ep. of the Simpsons when Homer attempts to build a grill.

'Mmmmmmmm.......Hippo.....'

And I'm glad things shifted to a better arrangement of pieces. ^_^

Can't fit a hippo. Maybe a quarter of a hippo...

Slightly better... still trying to... direct. Do. Not simply think or dwell.
