There are arcologies, in the city of Atlanta. Self-contained buildings, equipped with food stores (both connotations), but not quite the ability to produce their own foods. Yet. There is this, in potential, and yet there is still so much, in this city, that's stagnating... All about who's willing to put forth which ideas, i guess. Can't rely fully on The City, and you can't expect the corps. to be always on the Gibsonian Path. ^_^

Cities.

Cities are like trees drawing reasorces from around them through root like hoighways and rail lines, building and growing larger, covered in an Ivy of people that grow back faster that you can cut them back and spread out from the tree taking it with them. Covering it, making it impossable to remove the people with out taking away the protective bark of the tree... Killing it.

Yeah, but without the people the cities mean nothing... No life to the tree. Hm.
