[livejournal.com profile] wolven: So... i'm talking to other people about it. Knowing that all of the non-smokers will say No, and the smokers will say Yes, but at the core of it all, on each side, people will tell me to do what makes me happiest.
[livejournal.com profile] wolven: *twitch*

[livejournal.com profile] electroncat: heh heh
[livejournal.com profile] electroncat: Well... I think for the sake of good kisses you shouldn't smoke.

[livejournal.com profile] wolven: You do make a damn fine point, my friend.

Rob D - [Furious Angels]--- Because that's, honestly, something about which i hadn't thought. Unless both parties involved smoke, the non-smoking kisser will be very displeased. Take the fact that the only person, not-me, slated to taste the inside of my mouth, for a while, doesn't smoke, add all the other factors (health, money, personal pride), and i think that the non-smoking angle works best.

There's the Definition. Acceptance to follow, and then... moving on.

Later.

Yeah as a non-smoker and a non-kisser I can't offer and real advice from your point of view, but I say no smoking. I have asthma and it really hurts to be around smokers. Living down here in marlboro country doesn't help much. >.

Yeah, you make a good point. You know what's funny? My cousin has asthma, and he smokes like a damn chimney. No one ever called him the brightest crayon in the box. But he's certainly not the dullest.

Do you remember the posters in public HS? "Kissing a smoker is like licking an ashtray"? Well, I imagine ashtrays would be grittier. but it's a point.

And you and Huey have alwyas been pretty much equivalent in my mind. Except for the whole afro and thuggish kid brother thing.

Yeah, it would be grittier.

Substitute " Younger cousin, who was like a brother, for years" for "Younger Brother," and it still kind of fits. My cousin Jamaal. Only, as i said, above, he's not Stupid. Just refuses to use his intelligence.

You've made it this long, damnit...I'm proud of ya.
(And, 'to taste the inside of my mouth'? That's such a...weird way of putting things.)

*hugs* Thank you, very much. That means a lot. I'm not taking up smoking again, though i Am going to finish the pack. I think i may talk to [livejournal.com profile] tribeofone about learning fire eating.

And yeah, it is a weird way of putting it. It's the secondary effect of something that means so much more. But the secondary effect is the offensive one. I thought it jarring and fitting. :)
