Peter Gabriel - [The Tower That Ate People]--- http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bal-te.obscenity06apr06,0,3004361.story?coll=bal-home-headlines

Sons of bitches... I'm too tired, and doped up on allergy meds, to do a First Amendment rant, right now, but i think you see the main fucking picture:

People are lazy and want to pass a buck, so their version of "Family Values" becomes "Make everything we don't want our children to see illegal, and nevermind the rights of the adults, or the fact that we could monitor them better, if we paid more attention."

And never mind the fact that Adults who didn't want to see it, could simply not fucking watch it.

I hate this place so much sometimes...

The only point where I could see them having a right to it are the two places I don't imagine they will even try: Newsstand magazines like Cosmopolitan (Yeah, they're fully clothed. It's still porn), and the internet. Pop-up ads for porn are traumatic for anyone under the age of, I dunno, sixty? Like having someone jump out the screen and try to rape you. Trying to illegalize consenting sexual activity...what next, illegal copulation?
Blargle, say I. And Shenanigans.

Yeah. I'm all for things being less intrusive into my life, as a whole (including and especially the government), so pop-ups for porn, and that which would, essentially, be thrown in my face can be done away with, in my opinion. But damn. Some of this would absolutely have to be searched out, for people to be confronted with it.
