I went to the Synagogue, tonight. It was very informative, and... Enlightening. As i said to my dad, it says something about me that my first thought, when they went to opent he Ark, and Remove the Torah Scrolls, was "I hope I don't burst into flames. :)" There was a lot of singing, and i knew words and pronunciations. Recognised things that i never learned, in elementary school, and sang loudly, and full. People stared at me. ^_^ I also remembered something odd, about the name of the Chosen People, and the whole Israel thing, with -ael being the general angelic suffix, and, often, a pluralisation. It's nice, that way, sometimes.

Other things happening: my dad told me, tonight, that he worries about the Grey Goo contingency of Nanotech, because, at that level of mechanical and chemical manipulation, there's no such thing as a discrete operation. All of the operations performed are calculations and manipulations of chemical and cellular compositions. It's possible that, though we tell it to react when it comes in contact with Cellular or Atomic Compound A, it could, instead, find components .13 and .87, in separate positions, or even quantum co-ordinates, decide that what is "Separate," on a macro level, means nothing on the quantum, and react to the components, as found. There is no way, really to place restrictions, on that, except to find a way to make sure that they can, in fact, distinguish, between macro and quantum, and know which for which we're looking. A heirarcical level of priorities, with the macro as primary. But there's still, of course, no guarantee. I'm very glad that my dad thinks about things like this.

That said, i keep feeling like my life is reflecting Virtual Light. The series, by William Gibson, i mean. That other implication, too, but... Anyway. i feel like we're at that point in All Tomorrow's Parties where everyone is getting all antsy, and constantly talking about a change, and how they know that something big is shifting, but they can't see what, and everyone is looking at it, from their perspective views on the total Pattern. I keep waiting for someone to, out of no where, say to me "the last time there was this much of a shift was in 1911, and Madame Currie.. and then there was something about a Milk cart?" That's... when i'll have to lay down. Heh. Anyway, i feel like that, because people keep saying shit like "There's something shifting," or "I feel this big change, right around the corner, so pay attention," and things like that. And i have to say that, honestly, it bugs, a bit. There are changes every single bit of a microsecond, and those changes make larger changes. Without them-- the little ones, i mean-- we're all buggered. That said, yeah, there's something moving. We'll All of us deal with it. Same as always.

Which reminds me of something i recently read in Gödel, Escher, Bach, comparing the neurons, in the brain, to the rules and law of a society, giving rise to things like freedoms, and controled chaoses, of personality, emotions, &c. Then compared certain things to Anarchic systems, where the Chaos works in "Natural Laws," which give rise to the accepted social Orders. Which made me think about quantum mechanics, and the classical physical sciences. Epiphenominalism, too. It's a tangled web to weave. Dance. Play like a violin with one string, and many keys. I really need to make more people read things...

I think i'm like, done here, and junk? And i'll like, check in with you guys, Later? Or whatever? Yo.

Later.

Dream Well

{1.30am: You may feel a bit overwhelmed by the demands of others today. It's not that anyone is asking any more of you, it is just that you are at the end of your rope and can tolerate no more. This is a sure sign that you need some time off to recharge your batteries. A day off, or even just an afternoon, would do you a world of good right now, WOLVEN.

Silly horror scopes. But accurate. Another day should be nice.}
