When i was in the fourth grade, i realised something about myself, and my friends. It was a very important revelation, especially because of the nature of my focus, at that time. I realised that there was a reason i wasn't born with superpowers, and the ability to, say, shoot lasers from my eyes, or command and control fire, and that reason is that, at that time, with that experience (and to a point, even now) i'd Use it. Improperly, most likely.

There is a respect, and an understanding of power that comes from working toward it and earning it, rather than having it handed to you, from birth. You know, you learn, you grow into it, and yourself, at the same times, and you realise certain things about your character. I know that if i had at my fingertips, all of the time, the power of Superman, or similar, i'd kill those who threatened me, and those who threatened my family. Outright, no questions. But that's me. And i'm of questionable ethics and morals. Definate, but questionable.

Anyway... that's neither here, nor there. I have moments of pure heroism, as well as moments of pure and utter evil. Either way. Working for things.

That's a good realization.

So, are you saying that at age 9, and possibly now, you believed that realizing you have a different moral code than others, after the fact of your birth, was a bigger determinant to your not being born a metahuman, as opposed to the fact that no one is born a metahuman b/c there is no feasible scientific way to be born with superpowers?

You have too little faith. In everything as a whole, i mean, but, at this point i mean in Science.

To fully understand this post, you have to understand my beliefs on causality, time, space, and the universe's moral code, if any.

That kind of thing.

So, are you now saying that the concepts you mentioned, and perhaps combinations with others, help determine how humans are born?

Also, do you claim I have little faith based soley on the superpwer comment or other conversations/observations with/of me?

1) Yes. The main factor, however, is the decision of the person in question.

2) All of the above. :)

Reminds me of something a friend of mine used to say. 'I have the reflexes of a jungle cat. A dead jungle cat, but a jungle cat nonetheless...'

Exactly. They're certainly there, and all, but they're also certainly able to be questioned, by anyone who wants to do so... Doesn't mean they'll be right. ^_^
