This was brougt about by a train of thought, from [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel, about superstrings and vibrations, and sounds, and Words, and so on. This is my most recent thought on it, regarding light and sound as wave functions, expressable, in each other's terms, and so on. It links back to something about an ultimate reality, or some such, and an ideal of things springing from one source.

'In my experience, Any wave function can be expressed in any system, with enough work. Light as sound, and vice versa. It's been done. It's not that hard. Essentially, the whole thing is that, Since it's all various types of vibration (variations on a theme), it can be manipulated and expressed, any way you so choose. Whether you hear it, see it, smell it, feel it, or taste it, or all of the above, is simply a matter of the terms of expression.

'The key, then, is What is the essential thing being expressed, really? Vibration? Energy? Sunyata? Wu? Buddha? I'll answer that yes and no.

'Back to [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel's original point, i think, it's not that It Is Sound (though, in an ontological and experiential way, it Is, if we're going to go all Infinite, Energetic, and Perennial, about the whole thing), but that it can be Understood As Sound. That this may be what was meant by certain Sound/Word/Song Uses and Creation stories. That, perhaps, that's how they were understood, because the people of the time were more auditorily based, and really, a sound, or a Word tends to have more impact than saying "In the Beginning, there was the Sight." Many would say, "The sight of what?" when that wouldn't be the point.

'It's a word, a note, a sound, made, making things into a 0/1 kind of duality. But it's still all Totally, Infinitely, whatever it is, at it's base.

'Sound is simply another way of understanding it. It pulls the web tighter, as it were. Showing how it all connects to, if not flows to, the same source. Or, at least, similar.'

It would be pure sound, pure sight, taste, touch, smell, etc, and the act of doing those things. It would be Seeing, Feeling, Tasting. That which is tasted and that which is tasting. It would be the subject and object, as Zennists like to say, while being neither. But that base ground isn't really that important, in certain senses, to many people. It's the here and now, and grasping that, in a sense that carries it over, into every day. What it can do for you. What you can do for you, as it were. And, honestly, that's kind of the point, over all.

I simply say, never forget what infinity is, and that if an apprehension, understanding, acceptance, and love of the mechanism of dualism is not a part of it, then Infinity is not Infinity.

I've repeated myself enough, for tonight. I'm out.
