Don't doubt what'll happen if Return of the King doesn't win Best Picture. As i said, there will be riots, and as [livejournal.com profile] reannaremick replied, "I warned people. No one wants to say they lived through the Nerd Riots of 2004."

Believe it.

{12.11am: Riots Averted. ^_^ Bam. A clean damned sweep.}

The way things are going, I think LOTR just might take it all. Though, from a technical standpoint, I don't think it necessarily deserves to win. Return of the King had some editing issues and I find it telling that it was not nominated for Best Cinematography.

But I am rooting for it. Overall, it was an excellent achievment.

Yes, there were editing and cinematography issues, in certain fields, But the film, over all, was wonderful, and i was, due to the adaptation, the music, tha cast, the crew, the sets, Everything, able to overlook, mostly, what problems there were. Which means that many people didn't see the problems, at all.

And that's what best picture is about.

That's what "Best Picture" should be about, but I saw Titanic, I saw Gladiator, I saw American beauty. When compared to what they were nominated agaisnt, i don't see how they won. I don't usually have a problem with awards shows and the winners except when compared to what lost.

Sure Gladiator had pretty pictures, but when compared to the other nominees, it wasn;'t that big of an achievment, but whatever.

Jackson just won for direction and its about damn time!

I don't watch the Oscars that much. Besides, i always get my "Are"s and "Should"s mixed up.

:) I see.

Well, on another note, "Kingdom Hospital". Is this a book by mr King or an original screenplay? I just saw an ad 4 it and am wondering.

Neither. Lars Von Trier's original story was re-worked by King, and the station put his name on the front of it, to get better ratings.

Well of course. Wouldn't be Hollywood if they didn't.

Is the story available outside the TV movie?

A search for the original will turn it up, online.
