Voltaire - [Where's The Girl?]--- First of all, here have something neat about Rattlesnakes:

Secondly, a brief history of my day: Woken up, much earlier than i'd have liked, by Seth calling me, to tell me that the electrician would be there, in 20 minutes. 30 minutes later, the electrician shows up, with his apprentice. They check the breakers, and i find out that the house not only has loose wiring, it has, as a direct result of said loose wiring, Burning Breakers. They were getting sever heat damage. (Moxy Früvous - [Fell In Love]). So he had to go, and get new breakers, from his shop. He did that, by the way; the new ones are Awesome. I tried to wake AL up, when he left, to tell him to be there, because i had to leave. That eventually worked out ok, as evinced by the new breakers. But i left the house at 12.30 to catch the bus.

The bus didn't arrive until 1.02, and i was Very late to my study session. That's ok, though, because so was everyone else. (Better Than Ezra - [I Do]). So study study study, members of group go elsewhere, for a bit. While alone, i witness a protest of Coca-Cola, due to some debacle in Columbia (you'd think people'd learn), see [livejournal.com profile] ladymerrydeath, and think a lot of thoughts about what happened at Grady, way back when. Honestly the stupidest thing i've Ever done. Anyway; by this time i was hungry as Hell, because every food place on campus was closed. So Study Group went to Heavenly Cafe, and i had a steamed rice box (steamed rice, eggs, bean sprouts, mushrooms, and carrots, with, for me, beef, on top. Very tasty). Which made me very full, from all the rice. Digested that quickly.

Well, the study group disbanded, for the day, we went our separate ways; Justin going home, and [livejournal.com profile] bakeneko going to pick up her Mandy Patinkin tickets. (Rush - [Freewill]). Then i went to [livejournal.com profile] damnedsaint's place, and then we, with MUCH trial and tribulation, in the finding of it, made our way to Georgia Tech's bookstore. We arrived in time for the last 15 minutes of Gibson's reading, all of the questions, and all of the line. Which wasn't, actually, that bad. It was about 30 minutes of line-standing, for signing. I got him to sign my copy of Pattern Recognition, to which he replied, smiling, upon hearing/reading my name "VERY Good." I told him that it was Very strange to see my name of the first page of his book, and he laughingly cautioned me "Beware of Apophenia." A wonderful warning, but a bit late, and i told him so. Heheh.

So, then i got home, took a sip of some damned fine rum (Bacardi Ocho Años. Very smooth, and sweet.), and then i came here, to read mail, since the goings out of the power precluded any online doings. (V.A.S.T. - [Three Doors]). So that was my day. In the first part, aggravating, in the extreme, made up, in the end, by Gibson, and fine rum. And, of course, you all, who, if you don't write, online, in a forum where i may read, and make note, should. Damnit. :)

And with that, i'm going to go be a little more giddy, and drink some water, because i'm dehydrated as Hell.

Later, all

mmm...

The events were not related, other than happening in quick succession, one after the other. The Protest, the encounter, then the thoughts.
