mech_angel about the nature of Cowboy Bebop and, in that way, all noir...
"You... to some extent.. Have to be in it... There are certain elements that Require that you place yourself, there, if only for a second.
"To know betrayl, to remember a love lost, or the feeling of running away from a past. To know what it is to be a genius, and a hyperactive kid. All at once. To know your nemisis, and not Ever allow them, or yourself, to die, without each other. To know the True nature of Revenge, and Doom."
You place yourself there, and you... watch it, like all movies, to connect and escape, at once... Because they aren't exactly you... merely parts of you...
And you see your deeper, darker pieces, and maybe some of your more bright and known one, in them...
That's how i feel about that show, and that genre... but definately that show....
