Relatively absolute morals.
Jan. 11th, 2004 01:50 pmRadiohead - [Prove Yourself]--- Wondering, briefly, about the ideas of the "left-hand" and "right-hand" paths, in the, generally, more hermetic and/or "cutefuzzy" ways of thinking about things. No offense to anyone who subscribes to hermetism, or what the world might see as a "cutefuzzy" path; simply the way i see them, at the moment. (Radiohead - [I Can't]). Anyway, my consideration is this: It's generally talked about as an absolute, a definative "Left-Hand," Bad, Evil path, from which every one should stay; but what if it's a relative thing? What if it's "Stay away from your left-hand path"?
Now, i'm not one for staying away from any path that could teach you anything, for good or ill. If you can work up the courage to go there, and accept the responsibilities of whatever it is you may do, then go for it, i say. I only pose this as a consideration. Something that struck me when getting out of the shower {and putting on different coloured socks}, and all.
Later, all

Kind of surprised it didn't hit me sooner. But, hey, certain things happen, at certain times. Except when they don't.

The lines in my right hand make a pentagram. The lines in my left, a Star of David. Started extrapolating.
And as for logical thought: don't knock it. It can get you neat places, even if it's not your standard mode. Maybe especially if. ;)
