Coil - [Where Even the Darkness is Something to See]--- Time to bring out some standards, for this time of year, so i guess you could call them my traditions. New Year's. Be they your birthday, Samhain, Rosh Hashanah, the first of January, or any other, they mark a transition, for you, and those around you. They are the appreciated, known days, hours, minutes, seconds, when a year has come and gone, and a new one is there, fresh, for everyone to see. (Nada Surf - [Popular]). As i've said, before, they have this power, because they are recognised thus. Because any day, hour, minute, second, milisecond... is a transition, from one year to the next. One millenium, to another.

Dreams, recently, have been detailed, and then tantalizingly taken away. I wake up, these days, at about 30 minutes before i mean to, and suddenly, for no reason. This kind of rends the dreams, from my head. I remember that the dreams are of family, gatherings, transitions, beach houses and late night parties, at same. [livejournal.com profile] mech_angel has been there, most frequently, and the whole place kind of like looks like how i envisioned the beach house in Mona Lisa Overdrive. (Jack Off Jill - [Losing His Touch]). Last night there was driving, through warm summer or late spring rains, Stopping, going into the house, and then driving somewhere, again. It was in a combination of New Orleans, Atlanta, Haiti, and DC. The Archetechture stylings were those places. (Prodigy - [Fire]). Again, there was something about a party, that everone was trying their damnedest to attend, and it feeling... important, that everyone be there. Like, i had nothing else planned for the week, and this was what i was doing: making sure that every one knew, and could be there.

An odd sense of Need, yet Not.

If you've not gotten Haiku, from me, don't worry, it's probably on it's way. If you don't receive one, by midnight, tonight (My Time), it's because i forgot, or, more likely, didn't know that you read my journal. If that happens, and you still want one, let me know, and i'll rectify the situation.

Right now? I'm going to go get some food, maybe, and pull the clothes out of the dryer, and then, i believe it's time for a wonderful Shower.

I think it's going to be a good day. And i have high hopes for the year, in some respects, too.

Later, all.

I understand what you mean. I've been having particularly vivid dreams lately. Perhaps it's the combination of the equinox and the new year. They've been very interesting though. Happy new year! *hugs*

Happy new year to you, too. Yeah, it's probably the confluence, and the amount of things on minds... Here's hoping i start to remember them better.

YES. DAMNIT. It's fucking ANNOYING. Happened today, been happening for a long time, whether I wake early or no. Just....dreams, shredded by waking, and only leaving a sense I'd been very occupied.

I think that, tonight, it will get better.

My pool of dreams has nearly dried up entirely. I recall only snippets, if at all. I miss the lucidity I used to possess.

Any ideas as to why this might be? There are ways of getting it back, if you have the time.
