It seems as if you are saying that if we let the people who are trying to scare us know that we are a little scared then they win. If that's the case, it would follow that a Terror Alert Level was a bad idea in the 1st place. Which I would agree with, even if you were saying s/t else.
Considering that it was the half-assedness (meh…it's a word now, so sayeth me) that we developed as a result of no one trying to come on our own turf to bitchslap us that got us into this mess in the first place, I figure they won looooooooong ago.
Well, they won round one. The battle isn't over till you're dead. No matter how much propaganda they throw and we throw back, it's the final body count that matters.
But yeah, as far as being any type of defense, we suck.
