Covenant - [Like Tears In Rain]--- There was a Kitten outside my apartment door. It was simply sitting there. When Seth brought it to my attention, i waved at it, and it Immediately tried to come in the apartment... Random Kitten, never seen it before. Kittens, puppies, and small children of any species make me immensely, heart-breakingly sad and happy, sometimes. It's the instantaneous reflections on mortality, which they spark, in me. The Potential, in them...

I know. I know. I'm a morbid fuck. But it's part of the thing that, i think, everything in the world, with the capability for Nurture, has, in some respect or another. The imminent sense of the fragility of a small life, and the want and need to protect. Some simply have an overdeveloped sense of this, one way or the other, and sometimes over-all. So, it hurts me to see small things, especially things like that.

Res - [How I Do]--- There were polar bear cubs, on the Science Channel, yesterday. Had to change the channel, for the same reasons...

Mrr...

{12.07: Moxy Früvous - [Bittersweet]--- Kitty update. At the counsel of many, I went around, knocking Door to Door, trying to ask about the cat's owner. No one answered their damned Doors, and the cat Followed Me, the Entire Time. I was going to leave it, next to the door, while i searched, but as soon as i walked down the steps, it was after me, and walked with me, the whole way. About the second building, it started rubbing up against me, and mewing. (Oingo Boingo - [Glory Be]). Last building, it tried to stretch up, on my leg, using me as a scratching post. It was purring. It stopped, on the steps of the last building, and simply kind of sat, staring into the ivy, and off to the side of this row of buildings... I walked down the steps, and past it, and it didn't follow. At all.

No i simply hope it'll be ok.

*watches her own retarded kitties chase one another around like maniacs*
They remain cute. Until things are destroyed. Then you have to fight off the need for a pair of fur slippers....

I can't afford a cat, right now. Not at ALL.

I get the same way when Jack Hanna is on Letterman or LKL. And the re-run of a Seigfried'n'Roy LKL interview the other night.

*sniff* cute, cuddly, semi-domesticated animals...

Yeah, exactly. Cats are resoureful, and it wasn't mewling and crying. I think it simply wanted company... Wanted a playmate, for a bit. It eventually left. If it's back, in the morning, i'll post some signs...

If I could take on another kitten I would. But Tali and Lily won't allow it. Please, try to find it a home if it is back.

She seemed to be a very resourceful thing, and i haven't seen her back. I think she was simply exploring, and wanted a bit of company. Plus, messages to deliver, and all that.

Okay, you know how I worry about kitties.

If it looked fairly healthy and bright, there shouldn't be anything to worry about. Probably just being inquisitive. However, if it does return persistently, you should probably try to do something. Well, I know I would if it was me. I just have a compelete weakness for anything living that seems to need attention.

Yeah, she was healthy, and inquisitive, and not crying, or hungry or thirsty, so i'm sure she's ok. Plus, i remembered, later, that i kind of asked for her, in a sense. So i wandered with her, and then she went on her way.

Cats do that. They're lovely that way. I think there is something truly special about their behaviour sometimes. I got followed by a lovely black fluffy cat whilst walking through th cemetery the other day. She just kept following me wherever I went. Made it hard to leave her! Then when I left she just sat and watched me go. Quite a nice moment :)
