Interesting Analogy, i thought. People always look for the external merging of views and paths, to create the mythic Third Way... and that's certainly Part of it, i believe. (Nine Inch Nails - [Closer (Super Mario remix)]). Another, equally important part, is Travelling inside yourself, turning yourself inside out and backwards, forever, and encompassing the All, in the You, and vice-versa. Encompasing and being encompassed, giving in, and choking the life out of the thing, all at once.
Someone helped me re-remember, as i was Ranting at her, that Phoenix is only ever Truly Itself, at one point. Not when it's ashes, and not when it's whole and free, but when it is Burning. When it is, at once, it's own creation and destruction, and it encompasses the keys to its own future, fully. (Duke Ellington & John Coltrane - [Stevie]). Leibnizian, again, and every Tick, there's Something New to See. The Ideals of Continuity.
