Today, i got Dressed Down, at work, for not having Folded Brochures correctly, and not having Cut Labels closely enough. Once again, dilemma.

Horn the First: Wow, i'm getting paid a Shit-Ton of money, to do very little by way of Actual Work.

Horn the Second: This little Shit is aggrivating and annoying and Painful, and i Know that there are better uses for my time, in this place, but they think of me as some kind of fucking Innept summer intern, who whould Fold and Cut things, and not worry about the Larger Picture.

So, as per usual, i'm all horny.

People in the office gave me cake, ice cream, and a card, today. That was sweet. But the work is still mind-numbing. My "Supervisor" thinks of me as some kind of charity case, to be "shown the ropes," and made to understand the minds of the governmentally inclined. My family has been working in various fields of local and federal government since i was Born. I think i Get It. So, i'm a little Upset, with the job.

But, again: A Lot of Money. And only a Month Left... Only a month... Any suggestions?

Suck it up. Grin and Bear it. Etc.

I have to go to Bed. I have to get up even Earlier, tomorrow. Hooray.

Dream Well

{Oh yeah. Here's this: http://www.discover.com/aug_03/feattech.html }

{Again (thanks [livejournal.com profile] chromatics): I wonder sometimes (honestly only lately), about the direction of my life. Neuro-psychology, translation, art, life, Musics. Things that you people know that you want to do. :) It's cool. And, with Philosophy under my belt, i'll be able to teach others, show others, define things, ambiguously. It is what i love and-- of course-- there is no Field for it. Philosophers don't make money. Philosophologers make money. Professors make money. People who Love Wisdom don't make money. They barely Survive, most of the time. If they simply go about Loving Wisdom.

So, as they say: Evil Overlord is a lucrative and fulfilling career. I think i'll look into that.}

not only that but you have so many people willing to stand behind you should that be the career path you choose.

I'd prefer if they stood Beside me. Too many things can go wrong, with people behind me.

Yep.

*restrains filthy comments on the Behind thing*
Seriously, though, set out to Prove them Wrong. It's REALLY fun when people Underestimate you and then you blow their Mind.

Problem being: I'm Folding Brochures. There's not much of a way TO prove them wrong, except the rare occasions when they give me something Semi-Useful to do, and i surpass their expectations and then (because it IS a government job) they dumb my work down.

"YAY! I'm gonna be SICK!!! *BLEAGHCK!*"

to fuel the dilemna

Apparently the manager at Kudzu was flipping through your application today according to Elizabeth, and they've finally decided to hire people. Just thought I'd pass on that tidbit, not sure if it's worth much.

I suggest you do precisely as you are told while there, and allow the nervous energy in your brain to manifest as telekinetic powaaz. See also: Madeline
