Students. Plagiarism. Really WEIRD and STUPID Plagiarism

So, maybe one of you can explain something to me. Why would you PRETEND to cite sources for a paper.

Like, instead of telling me where you ACTUALLY got the information--which should have been a handout *I* GAVE YOU, and not even a book you had to buy-- you went on the internet, found some COMPLETELY OTHER information, and appended it with all the wrong citations--in several instances, claiming that you got the information FROM MY LECTURE.

I mean…One, did you think I wouldn't NOTICE that you were attributing shit to me that i NEVER TAUGHT YOU?

And Two--and FAR more puzzling!-- if you could go through ALL OF THAT TIME to do that shit SO FUCKING WRONG, why couldn't you take HALF the time to try to do it RIGHT?!

Possible reasons:
-They can't remember where they got the information, so they either assume they got it from lecture (accidental plagiarism) or just put "lecture" down because they hoped you wouldn't notice.
-They know you won't accept their actual source (wikipedia, timecube, whatever), so they put "lecture" down and hoped you wouldn't notice.
-They made the info up, and put lecture down hoping you wouldn't notice.

I found the found the websites they used, because they straight up Copy/Pasted that shit, so I think it's option 2. :\

One of the commonest biases in the world is that most people are like oneself. Disloyal people think real loyalty is a front, a lot of trustworthy people are naive because they expect the same of those around them, and so on.
You're a smart guy with a healthy disrespect for certain kinds of authority figures. But I'd contend that most rule-breakers are actually pretty dumb, up to and including idiocies like "not having a handle on why they're doing it."

They don't necessarily even understand them either.
Then again, if they really understood themselves, would they need your philosophy class? *badump-tssh* Thank you, I'll be here all week. Try the cod!
