Fringe, Futurama, Time Travel, Multiverses

So, the other day I came to a realisation, then I talked to M1k3y about it, then I realised some things which I codified as an article. But first, the initial realisation:

New Job.

I start teaching at Perimeter, today.

I'll be wearing my darker pinstripe suit, a white shirt, and my black and red tie.

And I just realised something. I'm going to need more suits.

The other day, I had occur to me the full implications of the fact that I teach three classes across two different universities, while writing articles for a well-known group blog, being on the programming committee for an annual (and constantly growing) conference, publishing in an anthology (just the one, so far, but still), and all the rest: I'm a teacher. I am doing what I set out 12 years ago to do. I am not done, by any means, but I am well on the way within the kinds of things I want to be doing.

This is... strange. But wonderful.

Teaching and Cooking

Tonight I:

Introduced myself to my new students, and taught critical thinking (forms and uses of language & types of disputes). Came home, put away all the meat we'd bought, this week, and cooked dinner.

Dinner was pan-seared top round steak coated in rosemary, thyme, fresh cracked pepper, salt, & a thin A1 glaze. The side was roasted asparagus & mushrooms, coated in both sliced and powdered garlic, salt, pepper, & rosemary.

Because I am AWESOME.
