Kind of a shitty day, at work, so far as customers go, but I really enjoyed my co-workers, and I made not-terrible tips. So that was good.

[livejournal.com profile] unknownbinaries, [livejournal.com profile] lord_of_smoking and I went to Thinking Man, after work, with Brandon. Had delicious beer, fun conversations and did shots with our waitress. That was awesome.

Good night.

Tom Waits - A Good Man Is Hard To Find--- In dreams, rotating tableaux of shifting, parallax violence and sex, drawn from True Blood and last night's events. Marianne's house, and the waitress from last night. (Fields of the Nephilim - Last Exit For the Lost). Some other things.

Dreams night before last were strange, apartment-ceilings-open-to-centre-lobby dreams. Road rage dreams. Nice house dreams. A combination of Luke's Kait's parent's (and isn't that a chain of possession) place, and my friend George David's house, from when we were kids. Moving things into the basement of all of these things, for storage, safekeeping, moving, and how that basement was also the entryway and overhang to the mental facility where Hannibal Lecter was kept.

Yeah.

Time for breakfast.

So, it seems that, for the "Grand Old Party," Everything Democrats propose is a gateway to "Government Run Healthcare." If so, I am forced to ask them, what, Aside from the Status Quo, is acceptable?

I also have a pertinent Question for Democrats, and I'd really like a thoughtful answer: If people can't afford health insurance, how are they supposed to afford to pay a fine for not having health insurance? Because, you see, for some, it's not that they don't think they Need it, because they're "Young Invincibles," it's that they CAN'T FUCKING AFFORD IT, because they're Too Poor.

If the proposed plan goes through, in the only form I've seen discussed, Democrats are, essentially, FINING SOMEONE FOR BEING POOR.

As always, open to discussion, willing to hear clarification on any points, etc.
