Gently disgusted.
Dec. 11th, 2008 12:28 amThings I've realised:
1) Things that matter to me may not matter a damn to anyone else, even if I see them as fundamentally connected to very important things about the world.
2) Other people probably don't care if I have gotten a haircut. Many people never notice, nor will they approach me differently. But I really really do care, and I find myself more attractive and approachable, with shorter hair.
3) I will most likely never be the person about whom people say "This writing will revolutionise everything about Topic-X! You HAVE to read this amazing manifesto!"
I will always be the voice quietly whispering in your ear, as you fall asleep, I will be the sentence made of particular key words you hear over the course of your day, and maybe no one will ever even know I said it. That's fine.
I'm going to bed, now.
Good night.
