As I sit here, reading the last chapter of this Nikola Tesla biography (it's called "approach-avoidance;" look it up :P), I realise that there are plenty of people, these days, saying "That's Impossible! That Can Never Happen!" and far too few people responding "Fuck You! Watch Me!"

Just a thought, for your Monday Morning.

Time for coffee and cookies. And maybe some cranberry juice.

Nikola Tesla, Thou Shalt Be Avenged.

Finished reading the Tesla biography. Not as depressing, at the end, as I'd feared.

In fact, it had a very hopeful tone, looking toward the future applications of his particle beam and plasma (ball-lightning) research, and talking about the papers housed in the most secure of three libraries of an unnamed "well-known defense research agency."

That actually made me chuckle. I'm going to have to talk to my dad about that, as this book was written around the time he was working on things like that.

It made me melancholy, but not sad. A yearning for something more, and a will to accomplish it.

I think that's a good thing.
