Jack Off Jill, Morphic Field - [Covet (750 Degrees Mix)]--- I'm hungry, tired, and I have to go to work, in about an hour.

Dreams were a jumbeld mess of conventions, hurt feelings, and peoppole running from the inevitable. Sleeping in group post-apocalptic conditions, to keep out the end.

Today's Word of the Day: Travel

[EDIT: 8.57am Massenet - [Meditation From Thais]--- I'll say it again: Science and magic are not incomensurable, they are different systems of operating within the world. That's like a Windows machine saying to a Mac: "Oh yeah? Prove it!" Anything it does can be regarded as illusions built on something real.

So what? No different from your daily life.]

Tool - [Wings for Marie (Pt. 1)]--- There's a giant solar storm set to happen in the year 2012. Gives Credence to EMP theory, and reformatting of planetary systems. Think about this: We're electromagnetically wired, and are affected by EMPs, if only to a small degree. One of that magnitude could conceivably do us real damage. Or good.

Tool - [10,000 Days (Wings Pt. 2)]--- Two-pronged question, then: What do we do about our data, history, records, all of it, in the event of global electromagnetic pulse, and what will it mean for the various species, on the planet, with electromagnetic fields sensitive enough to be affected?

There's also the idea that what we think of as the end of the world is only a shift in paradigm, in a way that we could not understand, as Mayans. It could also be a date that's far enough away to serve as a sufficient memetic focal point, for planning and worry.

My timetable considers 2012 the far point, and holds that everything should be in place and in progress, well before that.

Now, I may be batshit insane, and so might all of the other "conspiracy nuts," out there, in the world, but you know what? The Mayans, the Aztecs, and the Egyptians were all pretty damned smart people. They had mathematical and magical systems that make ours look stupid. Not just quaint, or funny, but Stupid. Pyramids for gods' sakes... Anyway, my point is that, when one of them simply decides to Stop their calendar-- which they took the trouble of planning for Thousands of Years into the Future-- when they say it Stops, I think we should pay a bit of attention, is all.

Your thoughts?
