unknownbinaries art for sale:
Sep. 18th, 2012 05:50 pmI need cash. That’s pretty much it. This was all in my Etsy shop, but not going anywhere, and I haven’t figured out how to take good enough photos with the current camera to feel like I’m actually showing everything well enough for that arena.
The bandannas are 15$ US apiece, shipped anywhere barring some kind of stupid surprise at the post office. They’re ironed-in Jaquard fabric paint; it will wear a little bit, but I have one for my own in the white, and a patch I made for my hoodie in the purple, and they wear very well. The crow skull variant (the grey and patterned thing) is an experiment. As a result, I have absolutely no idea how it will wear.
Can we be serious, here, a moment? Can we forget that I am UnknownBinaries' boyfriend, and you just hear what I'm saying to you? Because these are all amazing.
I want you to take a look at the work above. I want you to click on them to make them larger-- maybe even pull them into their own view window-- so you can get them up to 1280.
Now:
Look at them. Inspect them. The light, the lines, the colour, the detail on those board and canvas pieces. The intricacy of the stencil work on those bandanas. The time and craft and care that these took to create.
Now:
Look at the prices she is asking for them. For handcrafted, attentively created, wear-tested, god damned art of this quality, she is asking... Between $15 and $40.
Look at these and hear what I'm saying when I tell you that these would be worth it to you to buy, even if they were double these prices.
Well, maybe not the bandanas, because bandanas. But even then, another five dollars on that price tag wouldn't be out of the realm of reasonableness.
And the board and canvas pieces? $20-$40, for quality, intensity, resonance like this? Fuck, people. What the hell are you thinking?
Buy some god damned art.
