wolven7Tonight has entirely made up for today.
We finally watched Cabin In The Woods, which I can't even talk to you about on a conceptual level, if you haven't seen it. Too many parts of it completely rely on you putting it together as you go. Suffice it to say:
-Amy Acker's in it.
-It has Joss Whedon writing Bradley Whitford. If I were to dream of a more perfect pairing, it would only be this, forever.
-Fran. Goddamned. Kranz.
-Cabin In The Woods is quite possibly the Wolvenest horror movie in the history of Wolven horror movies." - Widgett

mendori: oh, even better... what if I say that the ritual probably wouldnt have worked anyway, because the crew got the roles mixed up for two key individuals?
mendori: they were using old ideas... as was everyone else... we got too genre savy for our own good, and its why all the rituals failed around the world
ME: Yup
mendori: failure to adapt to our own metanarative structure
thats why I love the response on finding the camera was not horror... but "Im in a reality tv show"
ME: EXACTLY
And actually... They got ALL of their archetypes wrong in some way or another
mendori: yep
the last two the worst though, because they got them backwards
ME: yup!
We already know of her at the start that she's had sex
mendori: and hes not a fool

mendori: everyone thinks they are what they should be.. but they arentt
