wolven7Today started off... Interesting. I had weird dreams about angel fights, and wandering around with our friend Michelle.
I woke up after 6.5 hours' sleep, very confused about why I was unable to get back to sleep, and the day went downhill from there, with moving stress, and blah blah blah.
Found out the brother of a family friend had died; my mom was at his funeral.
Listened to some 65daysofstatic and pAper chAse, and resolved that the day Would get better.

ego_likeness was confirmed for Dragon*Con, and I was like, "Oh neat. Wait, what the fuck?!" Fiona Apple - Periphery). Because I still hadn't heard back from D*C about my guest status. And so I emailed them, asking the status of my application, detailing my involvement over the past 4 years, and noting how late in the game we were getting.
Two hours later, they responded, saying that i couldn't get "Guest" status, but that they could give me "Attending Professional" status. Free Badge, program listing, and? (Fiona Apple - Regret). Name And Bio On The Page. Bam. And Finally.
Left to go do the whole "signing the lease and getting the keys" thing, and there was mail. Lo and behold, it was my Gangstagrass CDs. Bam again.
Taught, tonight. Covered Anselm, Aquinas, and Descartes' arguments for the existence of God, and the objections thereto. Talked about their papers. Talked about Hume. Talked about teleological argument structure, and the argument from design and "Of Miracles" and was still done by 8.45pm. So I told them, "We have two choices. We can try and cover the rest of Hume's Dialogues... Or you can go home two hours early."
Fiona Apple - Anything We Want--- After we covered the content and purpose of "Of Miracles," we were done, and we left. I thanked them for being such a great class, and they said some extremely kind and flattering things, and we were done.
Here's How to Become Beloved as an Instructor:
Step 1: Cover the material in as clear, articulate, complete, funny and Genuine a manner as possible.
[1a) ...and be available outside of class for clarification, etc.]
Step 2: Let them out two hours early on the last day of class.
There are no other steps.
And now? Now we get ready to go see The Goddamn Batman.
Not too shabby, for a Thursday.
